About

The most ambitious initiative in Center for Arizona Policy’s history.

Renewing Arizona Families is Center for Arizona Policy’s flagship research and advocacy initiative. Launched in 2025, it represents the most comprehensive, data-driven effort to strengthen family formation in Arizona’s history.

Produced in partnership with the Institute for Family Studies and authored by Brad Wilcox, Grant Bailey, Sophie Anderson, and Josh McCabe, the RAF report draws on government-sourced data from the National Survey of Children’s Health, the American Community Survey, the Current Population Survey, and Arizona’s own academic assessment data to analyze how family structure shapes outcomes for children, adults, and communities across all 15 Arizona counties.

“Families have always been the source of Arizona’s strength and quality of life. When families are strong, children flourish, communities prosper, and the promise of a thriving Arizona becomes real for the next generation. The data is clear. The mission is urgent. And the opportunity before us is extraordinary.”

— Peter Gentala, President, Center for Arizona Policy
